Betsy Marzahn-Ramos

RYT-200, Kids/Prenatal/SUP Yoga Teacher, Reiki

Betsy is trained in Hatha Yoga and Prenatal Yoga through the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts and Yoga 4 Everybody (Fairfield, CT), Children’s Yoga through Deep Play for Kids (Fairfield, CT), and Standup Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga through ThumbSUP Yoga (Darien, CT). She is a busy mom of a 3-year old and 7-year old. She leads yoga at Yoga Shala in Fairfield, in Milford (indoors and on the beach), teaches private yoga out of her own space and clients’ homes in Fairfield, and is the Executive Director of the Pranakriya School of Yoga Healing Arts, a non-profit yoga teacher training school. In her free time, you may find her coordinating after school programs for the Riverfield Elementary School PTA, out on her SUP in the sound, playing soccer with her kids, running on the beach, or quietly counting horseshoe crabs on a solo meditative beach walk.

Betsy’s focus on alternating between doing and being comes from the importance of this practice in her own daily life. She also works tirelessly to share, through yoga, the ability to connect with our own identity - the self. Busy women in the modern world may often feel additional burnout because our identities are wrapped up in who we are to others, and we may not give ourselves a chance to see and connect with who we really are. Betsy’s classes use the yoga practice to help reconnect with that true self.
