Evelyne Serais
Yoga Shala Owner
E-RYT 500, Thai Yoga, Hatha, Kundalini, Nidra, Gong, Meditation
Evelyne’s classes are always purposeful but never predictable, compassionately challenging with an element of seriousness - yet light in spirit. As a teacher, her intention is to guide her students towards personal discovery and a better life experience.
Evelyne finds great joy in sharing what she learns through both her personal practice and the trainings she’s completed. Over the years, Evelyne has studied Hatha Yoga (over 500 hours/Kripalu and the Amrit Yoga Institute), Kundalini Yoga (over 500 hours/Kundalini Research Institute), and various forms of Meditation, including Yoga Nidra (Amrit Yoga Institute), Heartfulness Meditation (Shri Ram Chandra Mission), Adyashanti, Shambala (Gampo Abbey/Pema Chodron), and Gong (self-study). She has also explored different styles of body work, including Positional Therapy (Levels 1&2/Lee Albert) and Thai Yoga (Jonas Wresting & Lotus Palm)
Ever inspired by the students she meets and their diverse experiences, Evelyne has also explored focused trainings such as yoga for addiction and restorative yoga. She has great gratitude for the teachers and masters who have been a part of her studies, but she always says she learns the most from her students as they practice and evolve, together. Evelyne’s personal yoga practice is her foundation; she believes the revelations from her practice are best shared. The mission statement she created for the studio, and herself, still remains: “To contribute to the conscious awakening of our community, on and off the mat.”
